Role

We are seeking a talented and experienced WordPress Web App Developer to join our company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-performance, scalable, and secure web applications using the WordPress ecosystem.This role requires a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, and a minimum of 3 years of professional experience building complex, custom solutions within WordPress. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing technical solutions to development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

	Custom Development: Develop bespoke themes, plugins, and web applications from scratch to meet specific project requirements
	Integration: Integrate third-party APIs and services (e.g., payment gateways, CRM, marketing automation tools) with WordPress.
	Performance Optimization: Optimize website performance, ensuring fast load times, scalability, and responsiveness across all devices and browsers.
	Security: Implement security best practices to protect against vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity.
	Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to the WordPress core, themes, plugins, and server environments.
	Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality projects on time.
	Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following established coding standards.
	Version Control: Utilize Git for source code management and collaborative development.
	Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required

 

Core Skills Required With Experience

	Minimum of 3 years
	Expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including modern frameworks/libraries like React or Vue is a plus).
	Deep understanding of the WordPress core APIs, hooks, filters, custom post types, and taxonomies.
	Proficiency with front-end technologies and a strong grasp of responsive design principles.
	Experience with version control systems, specifically Git.
	Familiarity with server environments (e.g., Apache, Nginx) and deployment processes.
	Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently or as part of a team.
	Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

 

Preferred Qualifications

	Bachelors degree (Any) with a minimum of 3 yrs experience.
	Experience with front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp)
	Knowledge of REST APIs and building headless WordPress solutions.
	Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce.
	Experience creating and consuming web services
	Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
	Experience with unit testing and automated testing.
	100% new development (Complete End-to-End),
	Must have worked in a Agile and Waterfall Project Management teams

 

Hours per Week

40 hours (US CST)

 

Work Location

Remote (WFH -US CST) - Must meet in-person with the Executive Management  in May.

 

Contract Term

1 Year with the option of extension

 

Remuneration

	Probation - 1 month ( Rs20,000)
	Fulltime Employment after probation  - DOE
